Private tutor in Cumberland, RI
Education
Bridgewater State University - Bachelors, Physics
Experience
I acquired my bachelor's in physics at Bridgewater State University. While studying for my bachelor's, I gained valuable teaching experience. I served as a teaching assistant in physics, algebra, and calculus courses. Furthermore, I tutored peers both in and outside of my classes to better understand the concepts we were learning. I've taught in public outreach programs, as well as worked at public events at the local observatory. I have experience tutoring middle and high school aged students to prepare them for the rigors of college-level academia. I can teach them important study and organization skills that will improve their learning efficiency and boost their performance in class and on tests. I believe I have a well-rounded tutoring style when working with students in physics and other courses. I focus on building from the ground up, forming a solid conceptual foundation to expand upon. Private tutoring is centered around helping the student achieve their goals, whatever they may be. I develop a customized plan that focuses on developing the skills and confidence needed to achieve academic success. I teach people of all ages to ride horses in my free time. In addition to horses, I am passionate about reading and hiking.
